We collect the following personal information from you:
- Identifiers such as name, mailing address, internet protocol address, email address, account name, phone number, and other similar identifiers.
- Personal information such as signature, age or date of birth, licensure number, and medical information.
- Unique identifiers such as username, account number, and password.
- Personal preferences such as preferred first name and the types of push, email, or SMS notifications you'd like to receive from us.
- Health or medical information such as prescription data.
- Sensitive payment information such as debit or credit card information, Automated Clearing House (ACH) information, and purchase or transaction history.
- Geolocation data (device location) and IP address.
- Biometric information such as voice prints, fingerprints, imagery of the iris or retina, and face geometry, where applicable.
- Necessary information for third parties such as prescription data or carrier and shipping information.
- Information collected through recording during phone calls with Greenwich Rx personnel.
Personal information does not include publicly available information.
Why we collect your information
- Communicate your prescription or health information, or the health information of someone you are caring for, to health care providers treating you or the other person.
- Communicate to you the health information of others you are authorized to act on behalf of on the Site.
- Help you pay for prescriptions.
- Send you requested information.
- Respond to customer requests.
- Management of the organization and its day-to-day operations.
- Administer your account and provide account services.
- Licensure verification.
- Send you newsletters, SMS or text messages, email communications, or voice messages.
- Respond to your questions and concerns.
- Improve our Site.
- Marketing efforts.
- Conduct internal quality improvement or business analysis.
- Third-party carrier and shipping coordination.
- Third-party providers.
- Customize user experience on the Site, including the display of location-based information relevant to your care.
- De-identify or anonymize the information in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable law.
If you provide us with personal information about dependents or family members, we will only use this information for the specific reason for which it is provided. Greenwich Rx may engage third-party vendors, including artificial intelligence (AI) vendors, in connection with the foregoing purposes. Such vendors may have access to information Greenwich Rx collects. Greenwich Rx's third-party providers may also include integrations, references, or links to services provided by third parties whose privacy practices differ from Greenwich Rx's. If you provide personal information to any of those third parties, or allow Greenwich Rx to share personal information with them, that information is governed by their privacy statements. Greenwich Rx reserves the right and may revise the list of third-party vendors as vendors are added or modified, modifications to information management are made, or as laws change.
How we collect your information
- From you directly, whether in person, by telephone, email, text, or through our website during account creation, transactions, participation in programs, contacts with customer service, or use of our chatbot.
- From publicly accessible sources.
- From third parties such as affiliates, business partners, and other agencies. This may include third-party AI chatbots, wherein chats utilizing the AI chatbot may be monitored, and the AI chatbot may store or process user interactions. Users should avoid entering any personally identifiable information or personal health information into a chatbot.
- Through automated means via your mobile device, tablet, or other device, including when you visit our website, use our services, or click on advertisements or links in emails you receive from us.
- From our IT systems, such as automated monitoring of our website and other technical systems (computer networks and connections, communications systems, email and instant messaging systems) and reception logs.

Web logs
Like most websites, Greenwich Rx automatically gathers certain information. We maintain standard web logs that record data about all visitors and customers who use the Site, and we store this information for no longer than reasonably useful to carry out its legitimate business purpose, or as legally required. This may include such data as the IP address automatically assigned to your computer when you access the internet, the type of browser and operating system you use, pages you visit on the Site, the date and time of your visit, the files that you download, the URLs from the websites you visit before and after navigating to the Site, your software and hardware attributes (including device IDs), your general geographic location (e.g., city, state, or metropolitan region), and certain cookie information. To obtain such information, we may use web logs, applications, or third-party applications that recognize your computer and gather information about its online activity.

Greenwich Rx and our service providers may place internet cookies or similar technologies (such as ETag, JavaScript, and HTML5) on the computer hard drives of visitors to the Site. The Site uses cookies to improve your experience and to understand how you interact with it. Greenwich Rx collects two main categories of cookies: necessary cookies and non-necessary cookies.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are stored on your browser because they are essential for the operation of the website's core functions. These cookies do not store any personal information. Because these are necessary, you cannot opt out of these cookies. These cookies are retained only as long as necessary to support core website functions.
Non-necessary cookies
Non-necessary cookies are any cookies that may not be essential for the website to function and are used to collect user personal data via analytics, ads, and other embedded content. We obtain user consent prior to running these cookies. You have the option to opt out of these cookies, but opting out may affect your browsing experience. These cookies are retained according to analytics and advertising purposes, as specified in this Privacy Policy.
Consumer rights
- Right to know. You may request details on what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Right to delete. You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to specific exceptions.
- Right to opt out. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including cookies used for advertising purposes.
- Right to correct. You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Section 04
Web beacons
The Site, the emails that you receive from Greenwich Rx, or third-party applications may use an application known as a "web beacon" (also known as a "clear gif" or "web bug"). A web beacon is an electronic file that usually consists of a single-pixel image. It can be embedded in a web page or in an email to transmit information, which could include personal information. For example, it allows an email sender to determine whether a user has opened a particular email. If you have set your browser to decline or deactivate cookies, web beacons cannot function properly.

Targeted advertising
Greenwich Rx may contract with a third-party ad network to manage our advertising on other sites. Our ad network service provider uses cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your activities on the Site and other websites, and to then provide you with Greenwich Rx advertising on other websites.
If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you targeted ads, you may opt out. Please note this does not opt you out of receiving advertising. You may continue to receive generic non-targeted ads.
Section 06
SMS, email, and voice messages
Greenwich Rx may choose to use third-party service providers to help with some of our email, voice, and text messaging communications with you. These service providers may collect and use your information to assist us in achieving the purposes discussed in Section 01 above. While we supply these vendors with email addresses or mobile telephone numbers of those we wish for them to contact, your email address or mobile telephone number is never used for any purpose other than to communicate with you on our behalf. When you click on a link in an email, you may temporarily be redirected through one of the vendor's servers (although this process will be invisible to you), which will register that you've clicked on that link and have visited our Site.
At any time, even if you have expressly given us permission to send voice or text messages to you, you may communicate your desire not to receive additional voice or text messages by following the stop or opt-out instructions in the voice or text message, by adjusting your preferences in your account settings, or by contacting support@greenwichrx.org.
Please note that you cannot opt out of certain messages, such as an email letting you know that a pharmacist has sent you a secure message.
Section 07
Surveys for quality improvement
Greenwich Rx may ask users to complete surveys about their experiences with features of the Site. Our surveys will not ask users for any information about specific medical conditions. Greenwich Rx may ask for information as outlined in Section 01. Greenwich Rx may use survey information for evaluation and quality improvement purposes. Demographic information and web log data may be stored for future evaluation and quality improvement activities. Users who provide consent when giving feedback may be individually contacted for follow-up.
Section 08
Messages and transactions
Greenwich Rx's staff and healthcare team may receive comments or questions sent to us using email or secure messaging forms. Once Greenwich Rx has made its best effort to provide you with a satisfactory and complete response, your messages will be archived. Some services, such as our prescription refill workflow, interact directly with other Greenwich Rx data systems. Data about your transaction may be stored in these systems, and available to people who test and support these systems.
Section 09
Payments
If you provide Greenwich Rx with debit card, credit card, or ACH information for pharmacy prescriptions or other payments, it will be treated in a secure manner. Greenwich Rx may utilize a third-party payment processor. Greenwich Rx does not store credit card or other payment method information on our systems.
Section 10
Data correction
You have the right to request to view and correct personal information from the Site. You have the right to request to update or delete information collected on our Site, or, if you believe a third party has provided us with your personal information, you may request that it be edited or removed from our database. To make a request, contact support@greenwichrx.org.
Section 11
Minors under the age of 16
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Section 12
Disclosures
Greenwich Rx may disclose personal information to any person performing legal, operational, audit, law enforcement, or other services for us. Where reasonably possible, Greenwich Rx will disclose information that does not identify an individual.
- Payment processing.
- Customer service providers.
- Marketing providers.
- Survey providers.
- Online advertising providers.
- Business transactions or reorganization.
- Providing cloud computing infrastructure.
- As required by law or to protect legal rights.
- To protect the health and safety of us or others.
We may also disclose your personal information at your consent or direction.
Section 13
Data retention
We may retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. This includes purposes such as meeting our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Where a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we will retain the information.
Section 14
Social media
The Site includes social media features and links, such as LinkedIn. These may collect your IP address, identify which page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable proper function. Your interactions with these social media sites are governed by the privacy policy or statement of the company providing them.
Section 15
Location services
The Site may collect your precise device location using technologies like GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, to help you find Greenwich Rx locations or to support third-party carrier and shipping integrations. Your location may be used in real time. User location data will not be stored.
You may opt in or out of location-based services by editing the location setting on your device or browser.
Section 16
Third-party websites and apps
Our Site may include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Greenwich Rx. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policy or statement. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.
At your request, we may send your personal information to other apps that are created and owned by a third party, such as a mail carrier. Greenwich Rx has no control over third-party apps or app providers and is not responsible for the integrity, privacy, security, or breach of data transferred to or stored in the app, or the use or disclosure of data by the app or the app provider once the data is released by Greenwich Rx. We encourage you to carefully review the terms of use, privacy policy, and settings that apply to the third-party app and the app provider, and approve release of data only to those apps and app providers that you trust.
Section 17
Questions, complaints, or opt-out requests
Greenwich Rx reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the new Privacy Policy on this page. You should periodically check this page to see if the Privacy Policy has changed. Your continued use of the Site after the Privacy Policy has been updated means you accept the new Privacy Policy.
