Greenwich RX is a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy operating under the oversight of state boards of pharmacy and applicable federal regulations. This page summarizes our regulatory standing, scope of practice, and the disclosures patients, providers, and regulators can use to verify our pharmacy.

Section 01

Pharmacy license

Greenwich RX is a Texas resident licensed pharmacy operating from our Tomball facility. Our resident license is verifiable through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Section 02

Pharmacist in Charge

Every Greenwich prescription is reviewed and released by a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is the licensed pharmacist legally responsible for the operation of the pharmacy.

Section 03

States licensed

Greenwich is licensed in Texas as a resident pharmacy and holds non resident pharmacy permits in additional states. Service availability is subject to the laws of each state, and the list of permitted states is updated as licensing actions complete.

Section 04

Federal scope (503A)

Greenwich operates strictly within the federal 503A scope of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. 503A pharmacies prepare compounded medications for specific, identified patients pursuant to a valid prescription. Greenwich does not manufacture, bulk compound, or distribute non patient specific drug product.

  • Every order is patient specific and tied to a valid prescription.
  • We do not engage in 503B outsourcing or bulk manufacturing.
  • Beyond use dating, batch documentation, and chain of custody are maintained for every preparation.
Section 05

Controlled substances

Greenwich does not dispense controlled substances. We do not compound, dispense, or ship any preparations scheduled under the federal Controlled Substances Act (Schedules II-V). Greenwich does not hold or require a DEA registration for dispensing operations.

Section 06

Prescription requirement

All prescription compounded preparations are dispensed only upon receipt of a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber who has established a legitimate prescriber patient relationship.

  • We will not fill any prescription that lacks an authorized prescriber, valid prescriber patient relationship, or required clinical information.
  • Prescriptions are reviewed by a licensed pharmacist for clinical appropriateness before being entered into compounding workflow.
  • If a prescription is refused, the patient and prescriber are notified with the reason.
Section 07

Compounded preparations & FDA

Compounded preparations are not FDA approved. 503A compounded medications are made for individual patients pursuant to a specific prescription order and are not subject to FDA pre market approval for safety or efficacy.

Statements about compounded preparations on this website have not been evaluated by the FDA. Compounded products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Use only as directed by your prescribing provider.

Greenwich maintains accreditations and compliance programs aligned with the standards of compounding pharmacy practice in the United States.
